CQC-regulated home care visits for adults across the Isle of Sheppey and wider Kent — from a single weekly call to multiple daily visits, delivered by trained, DBS-checked carers who support your independence at home.
Remaining in your own home — in the surroundings you know, close to the community you belong to — is something most people feel strongly about. At Otas Supported Living, our domiciliary care service is designed to make that possible for as long as you choose.
Whether you are arranging care for yourself, a parent, or a partner — or you are a professional coordinating a care package — our team is here to help with honest advice, no pressure, and a genuine commitment to getting it right.

We respond to all enquiries within 24 hours, Monday to Friday. All conversations are completely confidential.
UNDERSTANDING HOME CARE
Domiciliary care — also known as home care — is professional care delivered in your own home by a trained carer who visits at agreed times to provide personal support, practical assistance, and specialist care tailored to your individual needs. Unlike residential care, you remain in your own home and in full control of your life, with support arriving when you need it and leaving when you do not.
Home care is suitable for adults of any age who need some level of regular support — whether due to ageing, a health condition, a disability, or recovery from illness or surgery. It can range from a single short visit once a week through to multiple visits per day, seven days a week, and can be increased or reduced as your needs change over time.
At Otas, our domiciliary care service is fully CQC-regulated, delivered by trained and DBS-checked carers, and managed by an experienced care coordinator who ensures every visit happens as planned — with the right person, at the right time, providing the right support.

OUR HOME CARE SERVICES
Our domiciliary care division offers a comprehensive range of specialist and general home care services — all delivered to the same CQC-regulated standard, all centred on the individual.
WHY CHOOSE OTAS
There are a number of home care providers operating in Kent. We believe the difference at Otas is not what we offer on paper — it is how we deliver it in practice, every single visit, for every single person we support.
Our domiciliary care service is registered with and inspected by the Care Quality Commission against five quality domains: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-Led
We allocate the same carer or small, regular team to every client wherever possible. Familiarity builds trust, and trust enables better care
We do not provide fifteen-minute visits. Every visit is a minimum of thirty minutes — because good care cannot be rushed
Every carer, manager, and staff member holds a current Enhanced DBS certificate as a condition of employment
All care staff hold a minimum NVQ / QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care and have completed mandatory training before their first solo visit
We keep families informed, welcome family involvement in care reviews, and have a dedicated care coordinator as your single point of contact
We are an employer of our carers, not an agency. You deal directly with Otas; there are no third parties involved in your care
For urgent situations, including hospital discharge, we can often have care in place within 24 to 48 hours
"Our measure of success is simple: at the end of every visit, has the person we supported been treated with the dignity, respect, and genuine care they deserve? Everything we do is built around that question."

We match you with the right carer, agree a care plan, confirm visit times, and begin. Your dedicated care coordinator is your single point of contact for any questions, changes, or feedback at any time.
