About Otas Supported Living — Care Rooted in Compassion, Built on Trust

A CQC-regulated care provider based in Sheerness, Kent — dedicated to delivering person-centred supported living, residential care, and home care for adults across the Isle of Sheppey and beyond.

At Otas Supported Living, we believe that every person deserves to live with dignity, independence, and genuine support — regardless of their age, condition, or circumstances. From our base at 21 St. Helens Road in Sheerness, we serve individuals and families across Swale and the wider Kent area.

Who We Are and Why We Do What We Do

Otas Supported Living was founded with a clear and deeply held purpose: to provide the kind of care that we would want for our own families. Based in Sheerness on the Isle of Sheppey, we have grown from a small, dedicated team into a trusted, multi-service provider — without ever losing sight of the values that shaped us from the very beginning.

We established Otas because we recognised a need in our local community for a provider that combines genuine compassion with professional rigour. Too often, care can feel impersonal, inconsistent, or disconnected from the individual receiving it. We set out to change that — to build a service where every person is known by name, where care plans reflect real lives and real preferences, and where families feel genuinely supported, informed, and heard.

Our services span three interconnected areas — supported living, residential care, and domiciliary home care — allowing us to meet people wherever they are in their care journey, and to continue supporting them as their needs evolve.

We are proud to be a local provider — rooted in Sheerness and committed to the community we serve. Our team lives and works in this area. We understand the local landscape, the local services, and the people who call this part of Kent home.

The Principles That Guide Everything We Do

"To provide person-centred, CQC-regulated care that enables adults across Sheerness and Kent to live with dignity, independence, and genuine support — in the right setting, at the right time, with the right people."

Our Vision: To be the most trusted care provider on the Isle of Sheppey — recognised by families, professionals, and commissioners alike for the consistency, quality, and compassion of everything we deliver.

Our Core Values

Dignity

We treat every person with the same respect and consideration we would expect for ourselves or our loved ones — always.

Consistency

We know that good care depends on familiarity and trust. We work hard to ensure the right people are in place, reliably and predictably.

Transparency

We communicate openly with service users, families, and professionals — no surprises, no jargon, and no unrealistic promises.

Empowerment

We support people to live the lives they choose — not the lives that are easiest to manage. Independence and choice are at the heart of every care plan.

Professionalism

Our team are trained, qualified, DBS-checked, and supervised. High standards are non-negotiable at every level of our organisation.

Community

We are a local provider. We are invested in Sheerness, the Isle of Sheppey, and the wider Kent community — and that commitment is reflected in the care we deliver every day.

The People Behind Your Care

Our team is the heart of Otas Supported Living. Every member — from our registered manager to our frontline carers — shares the same commitment to respectful, high-quality, person-centred support.
